Families with pets have the added responsibility of making sure that their pets are also prepared for any possible disaster. We all saw the plight of the animals after Hurricane Katrina, and no one wants to see that happen again. Adopting A Pet

Many of us adopt a pet after they have been weaned, given their shots, and are somewhat older. Adopting can be the most rewarding and fun experience. They are only young once, and they grow up so quickly so treasure the moments with your pets. Many of these infants are found by good Samaritans who will either immediately adopt them or take them to the nearest shelter. Most of these adoptive "parents" rely upon milk replacement food such as PetAg's Esbilac or KMR to nourish these little ones in lieu of their mother's milk. Healthy And Fit Weight

Did you know that it is unusual to find a young puppy that is overweight? Like most human babies and toddlers, puppies expend a great amount of energy and calories in the day to day playing or "learning" that they do on their own. Puppies can be rowdy and rambunctious and this helps to keep their weight down to an appropriate level.
Unfortunately cases of overweight adult animals are on the rise due to the busy lifestyles that their human companions lead. It is not uncommon these days to see a pet left inside roaming the house, while their humans are at work. Older pets are a bit more sedate and might prefer to laze around during the day, waiting for their human friends to come home. Add to that the high calorie treats that are on the market and you have a recipe for an overweight pet. And being overweight is just as dangerous for pets as it is for humans. (More...)
Summer Sizzlers

It's summertime, and you can bet that your pets are feeling the heat just as much if not more than you yourself are, especially if your pets are long- haired or have tons of hair in general. Even the short-haired animals among us can suffer during the summer months. It is up to us, as their human companions, to make sure that they have nourishing food and sufficient water. It is also our responsibility to make sure they get plenty of exercise both inside and outside, and that they are taken care of and watched over during the warmest days of the year. (More...)
